Hopefully a fairly quick write up of a recent outing for our Kings of War WFB3 army lists, which was actually the first run out for the High Elf list. We had about 6 hours to set up and play in, and talked ourselves out of trying to do WFB2. (I’ve been doing this Oldhammer thing for about 2½ years now, and still haven’t brought myself to actually play third edition again). Since it looked like Kings of War was the name of the game, I suggested 2,500 pts, naively thinking that would be about equivalent to 3,000 pts of Warhammer kit. Well, maybe a bit more, as the images will show. I think the High Elf force I fielded, including the 3 wizards, wouldn’t have given me much change from 4,000 points. Which is funny, because 2,000 pts of KoW feels a bit smaller than 3,000. Continue reading →
